Rosfinmonitoring has studied the Panamanian and Paradise dossier, finding in the promulgated documents information about dubious operations of several billion rubles, to which Russian high-ranking officials were involved. Yuri Chikhanchin, director of the department, said this Wednesday. Among them, according to him, there are officials from the governor's and deputy corps, the management of various departments. In total, in 2017, Rosfinmonitoring conducted more than 3,000 financial investigations, the number of criminal cases in which corrupt manifestations were found amounted to about 450, of them public officials - 155. "The results of investigations are directed to law enforcement agencies," said Chikhanchin (his words are given by the press-service of Rosfinmonitoring). The Panamanian dossiers and tax collectors are used, as evidenced by their dispute with Milagro Foods, in which they referred to data from Panamanian documents.
If Rosfinmonitoring talks about the transfer of materials to law enforcement agencies, they should be transferred to the FSB, and there they should assess their prospects and transfer them, if necessary, to the investigative department of the Interior Ministry or FSB investigative bodies, a source in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said. According to him, currently there is no information on the criminal cases under investigation in Panama and other offshore dossiers. I have not heard about the claims to any of the officials in connection with the Panamanian or other dossier and the interlocutor of Vedomosti, close to the Kremlin.
The leakage in 2016 of the so-called Panamanian dossier - 11.5 million documents of the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca, allegedly helping clients evade taxes - led to several large resignations. The dossier featured many names of officials, politicians and stars from different countries. The first high-ranking official who was forced to resign due to a Panamanian scandal was Iceland's Prime Minister Sigmundur Gunnleysson - he had an offshore company. And in July 2017 the Supreme Court of Pakistan admitted that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif does not correspond to the post: among the owners of offshore companies were three children of Sharif, including the daughter of Mariam, who was considered his political heir.
In 2017, a paradise archive appeared, among the victims of the leak were the British Queen, Apple and Glencore.
