Gazprom canceled five announced open requests for the delivery of large-diameter pipes (LDP) for the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok (SHV) gas main. This is reported by Interfax with reference to the company's message.

According to the announced requests, Gazprom intended to purchase 255,000 tons of LDP for an amount of about 22.684 billion rubles. The date for executing the contract was the end of October 2018. The procurement was planned for the parent company of PJSC Gazprom.

The gas pipeline SHV was built in the period from 2009 to 2011. According to the Gazprom website, the capacity of the first start-up complex of SHS is 5.5 billion cubic meters. m per year, length - more than 1.8 thousand km. Through the gas pipeline, gas enters the Khabarovsk and Primorye Territories from offshore fields in Sakhalin. During construction, pipes of Russian manufacturers were used. Gazprom earlier spoke of plans to increase the capacity of the SHC due to the expansion of the gas pipeline line on the section from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to Khabarovsk.

In December 2017, Gazprom terminated contracts for the purchase of LDP for the ground part of the North Stream-2 because they found their cost too high. The source of RBC in one of the pipe companies called the event an ordinary trade and explained that the disagreement about the price is related to a formula that takes into account changes in steel prices.
