Billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, having arrived in Moscow with the permission of the French court, got to the hospital because of heart disorders, Interfax reported.
"On Saturday night I felt unwell in the heart, called a doctor. The ambulance was taken to the hospital Vishnevsky, the diagnosis - a complex violation of the rhythm of the heart, "- said Kerimov's assistant for work in the Federation Council Alexei Krasovsky.
The doctors confirmed the information about the hospitalization of Kerimov.
"Yesterday they delivered about 21:00, with heart rhythm disturbances, atrial fibrillation, unstable hemodynamics," said Professor Alexander Lishchuk, head of the cardiosurgical center of the Vishnevsky hospital.
According to the doctor, the resuscitation of Kerimov was restored sinus rhythm, now the indicators are normal, the patient is preparing to write under the supervision of specialists. "He is warned that this can happen again, in particular, because of stress," Lishchuk said.
The French authorities detained a senator from Dagestan on November 20 at the airport of Nice. According to the French prosecutor's office, the entrepreneur evaded taxes: he allegedly purchased several luxury residences on the French Riviera through front companies, which allowed him to lower taxes due to the French state.
In mid-February 2017 at the Villa Hier on the French Riviera with an area of 12,000 square meters. m. went through searches related to some transactions carried out with the villa. Then the local newspaper Nice Matin wrote that the house, presumably, belongs to Kerimov, and that the businessman is actually one of the largest owners of real estate on the Cote d'Azur, but the member of the Federation Council denied it. According to the declarations of Kerimov and his family members, they do not have real estate abroad.
He is also charged with laundering money. According to the French investigation, he illegally imported into the country up to € 750 million, some of them in suitcases.
A few days after the arrest, the senator was sent under house arrest on bail of € 5 million. Later this amount was increased to € 40 million. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office asked Paris to transfer the investigation into the case of Senator Kerimov to Russia.
Now the businessman remains at large, but he is forbidden to leave the Cote d'Azur on his own. Kerimov periodically comes to Russia with the permission of the court. In January 2018, he met with Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko. Then Kerimov was convinced that he could prove his innocence in court and return to his homeland.
