The combined wealth of the richest Russian businessmen has grown by $26.27 billion since the beginning of 2024, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Among Russians, the beneficiary of the Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works, Vladislav Lisin, showed the greatest growth. His wealth has grown by $4.81 billion since January of this year, to $28.8 billion.
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index is based on the value of shares of companies in which billionaires have stakes. For some companies, the calculation is made taking into account the ratio of their capitalization to EBITDA or share price to earnings per share. The rating covers the 500 richest people in the world. It includes 25 Russians, whose total wealth as of November 1 is estimated at $355.33 billion
Despite the maximum growth in wealth relative to other Russians, Vladimir Lisin ranks second in the rating. The richest Russian businessman on the list remains one of the main owners of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin. Since the beginning of the year, his fortune has grown by $1.18 billion and reached $32.2 billion. Third place was again taken by LUKOIL co-owner Vagit Alekperov, whose fortune increased by $2.78 billion — to $27.4 billion.
Fourth place in the rating, as a month ago, was taken by the beneficiary of the Severstal company Alexey Mordashov. His fortune increased by $4.75 billion in ten months, to $25.6 billion. In fifth place remains the co-owner of the NOVATEK company Leonid Mikhelson. His capital decreased by $1.98 billion and amounted to $25.5 billion.
