Approaches to Nord Stream-2 will cost half a trillion rubles

Gazprom first disclosed the investments in the expansion of the UGSS for the project.
The expansion of the Unified Gas Supply System (UGSS) in the north-west to supply gas to the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline will cost 479 billion rubles. in prices at the beginning of 2015, disclosed by Gazprom. Thus, the approaches to Nord Stream-2 will cost at least the same amount as the project itself - about € 8 billion. In total, in 2018, Gazprom will send 213 billion rubles to build the northwest corridor.

Gazprom first officially disclosed how much the construction of the gas pipeline from Gryazovets to the future compressor station Slavyanskaya, the initial point of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, will cost. The pipe length of 1546 km and three compressor stations (38 units, total capacity of 1520 MW) will cost 479 billion rubles. in prices at the beginning of 2015. If you index this amount on the inflation rate for the past three years, by early 2018 it will amount to 596.5 billion rubles. The gas pipeline's capacity is 60 billion cubic meters, it should be built in 2017-2021. For comparison, Nord Stream-2 with a length of 1200 km and a capacity of 55 billion cubic meters, which is laid almost entirely on the bottom of the Baltic Sea, will cost about € 8 billion (about 550 billion rubles at the current rate). The timeframe for Nord Stream-2 is still indicated as the fourth quarter of 2019.

"Gazprom" plans to invest in Nord Stream-2 this year, 114.5 billion rubles. (approximately the same amount as in 2017). Expansion of the UGSS in the north-west will require 98.9 billion rubles.

The largest investments will be in other gas pipelines - the Sila of Siberia (218 billion rubles) and the Turkish Stream (182.4 billion rubles). At the same time, according to the "Force of Siberia", the construction completion date was shifted from 2022 to 2024, and the total length of the linear part was reduced by 1,000 km to 2158 km. Apparently, Gazprom in this case takes into account only the length of the gas pipeline from the Chayandinskoye field to the border with China in the Blagoveshchensk area, whereas in previous cases (including on the company's website) the project takes into account the pipeline section to the Kovykta field.
