In April, a number of Russian media posted information about the villa in Biarritz, France, owned by the alleged new husband of Lyudmila Putina Artur Ocheretny. A few months later this site was visited by the French blogger Pierre Affner, who discovered that the construction on the Atlantic coast is stopped, and the buildings are coming to a final decline.

In the photos published by the blogger, it is clear that the villa was abandoned by workers, and construction cranes were dismantled. The name of the customer of the construction of Arthur Ocheretny also disappeared from the fence.

The villa is located on the first coastline of the Atlantic Ocean. The Dozhd television channel, citing the Center for the Study of Corruption and Organized Crime (OCCRP), reported that as early as 2013, Ocheretny bought a villa in France for € 6 million. The reconstruction of the house had to be coordinated with the local authorities, since it was recognized as an architectural monument. It follows from the OCCRP investigation that the reconstruction project listed the person's data, completely coinciding with the name, surname and date of birth of Arthur Ocheretny.

The Center for the Study of Corruption and Organized Crime stressed that Ocheretny, being a private person, is not obliged to report on his income. He heads the Foundation for the Development of Interpersonal Communications, but his business projects, as mentioned in the investigation, were not successful.

Officially, Putin is not associated with this fund, but the media have repeatedly called her the unofficial patroness of the "Center for the Development of Interpersonal Communications." She took part in the events organized by the center, but still being the first lady rarely appeared in public.

The investigation said that in different years the Center for the Development of Interpersonal Communications received large contracts. For example, in 2015 the Moscow government allocated him 62 million rubles for "creating conditions for effective communicative interaction in the society", and in 2012 the subsidiary structure of RZD transferred to the center 25 million rubles.

Presumably, the reason for the loss of interest in the estate was the close attention of neighbors to the personal life of the former wife of the Russian president.
