This company is engaged in research in biotechnology and the production of animal feed.

According to the Kontur.Fokus database, 75% of Biopractic belongs to the Monolit joint-stock company, which produces military helicopters and aircraft guns. Another 17.5% belong to the joint-stock company "Duks", a manufacturer of military aircraft missiles. Katerina Tikhonova’s fund acquired a 7.5% stake.

A representative of Innopractic confirmed to OM that the fund had indeed bought this stake in Biopractic without mentioning the amount of the transaction. According to him, Biopraktika is engaged in the production of feed microbiological protein, premixes, feed vitamins, antibiotics, amino acids and enzymes, and Innopraktika, together with partners, intends to establish production of bioprotein from methane in Russia using bacteria that feed on this gas. “Given the strategic importance of this area, the fund decided to acquire a stake in the core company,” said the representative of Innoprakty.

In late February, Russia's largest meat producer Miratorg and Innopraktika Foundation announced joint research in the field of genetic technologies for breeding farm animals. According to this agreement, the fund will be engaged in attracting experts to participate in research, and Miratorg will provide platforms for testing products and developments. This agreement has nothing to do with the purchase of a stake in Biopractic, the representative of Innopractic said.

The second alleged daughter of Vladimir Putin, Maria Vorontsova, is also involved in genetics. Last spring, she joined the council on the implementation of the Federal Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of Genetic Technologies for 2019–2027, Open Media reported. The state estimated the cost of implementing this program at 127 billion rubles, and 111 billion rubles from this amount should be provided by the federal budget.
