The Russian aluminum company UC Rusal, which has fallen under American sanctions, refused the loans from Promsvyazbank, which the government offered as support measures to it. This was reported to RBC in the press service of the company.

"The conditions of assistance were enslaving," UC Rusal explained, refusing to comment further. Under similar conditions, as the interlocutor of RBC, familiar with the situation, clarified, all other companies of Oleg Deripaska refused from the help of this state bank.

Before that the businessman did not take loans from Promsvyazbank, reported The Bell, referring to a federal official, as well as a familiar entrepreneur and close to the credit organization's interlocutor.

Ruling of international financial markets by Rusal through government-controlled banks, including Promsvyazbank, was allowed on April 11 by Finance Minister Anton Siluanov. Aluminum company at that time already owed Sberbank about $ 4.2 billion. A month later, on May 24, it became known that the assistance of Promsvyazbank would also help the GAZ Group Oleg Deripaska. Her financial organization planned to provide a loan to replenish working capital. A few days before, another Russian businessman, Viktor Vekselberg, received another state aid in the form of a loan from Promsvyazbank. First Deputy Prime Minister Anton Siluanov on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in late May told reporters that the entrepreneur had been given two loans. The official did not specify their amount.

Deripaska, as the Bell's interlocutors explained, had opportunities to raise financing on the same terms as Renova's Vekselberg, but in an interview with one of the high-ranking government officials, the businessman, according to one of the sources of the portal, made it clear that he considers these loans "predatory", and the proposal refused.

Under the sanctions of UC Rusal and other companies of Deripaska, including En + and GAZ Group, were in April. The US Ministry of Finance then permitted the mitigation or removal of restrictions from these enterprises in the event that Deripaska ceases to control them. Under pressure from Washington on May 18, the businessman left the board of directors of En +, and on May 26 resigned from the board of directors of UC Rusal.
