Aviasales called ultimatums the proposals of Aeroflot and Victory to change the terms of cooperation. These proposals suggested the deterioration of commercial conditions by several times.
The proposals of Aeroflot airline and its "daughter", the Pobeda low-cost airline, about new conditions for cooperation with the Aviasales ticket search engine are "ultimatums" with which the service is not ready to agree. Interfax was informed about this by Anton Baytsur, Managing Director of Aviasales.
“Understanding the difficult situation in which the travel market is currently located, we went to meet many partners during the pandemic. But we are not ready to agree to ultimatums, especially when they suggest the deterioration of commercial conditions by several times and the decrease in our income indefinitely to almost zero, ”Baytsur said through the press service.
Aviasales has terminated direct contracts with both carriers and from May 1 disconnects them from the quick booking system, which allows you to buy tickets directly on the site, the agency said. At the same time, the search engine will continue to issue data on tickets for their flights, but they can only be bought on other sites.
On Monday, Aeroflot and Pobeda announced that they would stop selling tickets through Aviasales. Aeroflot specified that the service refused to change the size of the commission for it and preferred to terminate the contract.
