Bloomberg summed up the first three months of 2018 for the richest people of the planet, updating its Billionaires Index. According to the agency, Alexei Mordashov remains the richest man in Russia with a fortune of $ 19.3 billion, although he has lost $ 362 million since the beginning of the year.

The richest man in Russia - Alexei Mordashov, chairman of the board of directors of Severstal, took 47th place in the list of the world's richest people, according to the agency. On the second place in the list was Vladimir Potanin ($ 19.1 billion). The third place was taken by Leonid Mikhelson ($ 18.6 billion), which earned $ 1.9 billion since the beginning of the year. Following are Vladimir Lisin ($ 18.5 billion), Viktor Vekselberg ($ 16.4 billion) and Alisher Usmanov ($ 15 billion). In total, the list of the world's richest people includes 27 Russian billionaires.

In 2017, the state of 25 Russian billionaires that were at that time in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index increased by $ 21.6 billion. Since the beginning of 2018 as of April 2, the cumulative state of 27 billionaires has grown by $ 5.872 billion.

The assessment of the state of billionaires according to Bloomberg does not coincide with the estimate of Forbes. According to the latter, Russia's richest man is not Mordashov, but Vladimir Lisin with a fortune of $ 19.9 billion (as of April 2, 2018). The state of Mordashov Forbes estimates (on the same day) at $ 18.4 billion.

The richest man in the world (according to both versions) is the founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos, who owns, according to Bloomberg, a fortune of $ 121 billion. He also won first place and in revenue since the beginning of the year - since January his capital has increased by almost $ 22 billion. More than $ 6 billion Bezos earned for several hours on the growth of the share price after the release of the company's quarterly report. The leader in negative growth of capital became the head of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg. His condition decreased by $ 7.69 billion. And in mid-January, the capital of Zuckerberg reflected a message about the change in the order of the formation of the news tape - after him the condition of the founder of Facebook was reduced by almost $ 3 billion.

Earlier, on March 23, Forbes published its own version of the list of Russian billionaires with the largest revenues for the year. The first line was taken by the member of the board of Sibur Kirill Shamalov, whose income the publication estimated at $ 2.3 billion. Alexei Mordashov, according to Forbes, earned a year from dividends and sales of shares of Severstal $ 1.56 billion, and took second place.
